![]() ![]() In all likelihood you’re not gonna stumble on some rare valuable record just lying around your local record store. You’re hearing it the same way it sounded when it came out. It’s a great album and it’s fun to have an original or early pressing of a landmark album like this. Now taking away value, what you have is a cool addition to your beginner collection. You said you bought it at a used record store so I’m guessing it’s true value is about $5-$10 less than what you paid for it, depending on how generous your local record store is. The mono US version on the other hand has a little value. For hardcore Beatles collectors it holds little value since the US pressings including the stereo version of this album sound pretty bad. It looks to be pretty early and if not an original pretty close to it. What you have is a common US stereo pressing of Magical Mystery Tour. The thing you have to realize when it comes to Beatles records is they made millions of these and they’ve kept on making them for the last 60 years. r/PunkRecords - Anarchy in the Record Store! r/cd_collectors - CDs Are Also Pretty Neat! r/CollectionHauls - Records, Comics, and Memorabilia r/randomactsofvinyl - It's Worth a Shot!? r/Turntablists - Scratch, Juggle, and Flair. r/uncommongrailz - Not Your Average Grailz r/audiophile - Quality Audio Reproduction. r/vinylreleases - Releases and Preorders. r/vinylcollectors - Buy, Sell, and Trade.
